Analyzing a Poem

Today, In class we read and analyzed a poem called, "I'm Nobody! Who are you?" by Emily Dickinson. The poem was short, at first if you read the poem you would see the word "nobody" as a negative term, but in poem it is read as a positive term saying that a nobody is different from someone who is a "somebody".  Nobody is people who are different and Somebody are people who are the same as everyone else. The theme of this poem was to "be real", becoming somebody to look like every is sad compared to being a nobody (Yourself).

Jamboard Presention

Today, we presented our jamboard I was super late to class from helping a student walk to class. Once I got in the class and finally seated the clock was on for 2 minutes and 30 seconds. I had no time to completely finish, as I thought, but I completed it just before it was my turn to present. I made the summary of my origin myth story short and wasted no time presenting. Because I'm working on my stage freight, I stood looking at the computer trying not to look up and see the reaction on peoples faces. Once i was done I quickly walked and sat down. I personally think I did a great job on the story and on the jamboard.

Monday Jamborad Edit

Monday August 29, 2023, our class worked on jamboarad and that day we had to submit our origin myth story. The jamboard required us to summarize and give an image for our origin myth stories we created. I thought it was easy enough and then I forgot about it when I was home. I still have not finished my orgin myth needs it to be finished.

Native American Literature

Today we learned about Native American’s language, stereotypes, and where they lived. The language of the Native Americans were never written down they were told by story that were passed down for generations but now it is written. Some of the stereotypes about Native Americans are that they wear these head covering or their cultures accessories, they also are stereotyped as wild animals or savages, and that they have long hair. Native Americans have lived all over there the U.S but Americans moved them to reserved areas in the U.S that they don’t have complete control over.

Introduction

Hey, I’m Markeith Moreland, my only expectation is to be taught and my goal is to pass. I desire to learn everything I need to know for EOCs. Also help studying maybe by going over a subject twice, giving out practice quizzes, or study guides that are easy and detailed to comprehend and complete. I want this year to go by smoothly so I can stay focused and have a shot in getting in college. Going to college and passing this year are my desires and I expect to get taught so I can do so.
